The Inspiration

When the world shut down in 2020 most of us found new hobbies and interests. I was no different. Being a teacher, the Friday before Spring Break would be our last day of school. I would not return to work until mid August. I had five and a half months to keep myself entertained. I took my dogs on many hikes, completed 4 series of 30 day yoga challenges, tried all of the TikTok cooking trends, and went on many day drives - just to see what was out there. I of course found the side of TikTok that had everything Cricut. T-shirts, stickers, how to make cards, personalized cups, hats, tumblers, you name it. Growing up I would never have called myself an artist or creative. Every art class I took in school was only because it was required. I knew drawing and painting was not my forte. Shoot, I had horrible handwriting up until I became a teacher and really started to improve that skill. Quickly I convinced my Mom to go in on all the supplies we would need to make stickers and t-shirts. For the past 3 years I've been making t shirts for friends and family, and of course myself. I have fallen in love with graphic design. Teachers are known for loving their t-shirts. I take my love for teaching, my dogs, seasons, holidays, sports, and any cause that I feel strongly about and put it on a t-shirt. I let my sarcasm and humor shine all while making cute and trendy shirts.
